    Disposable Cameras

Even though the sale of disposable cameras is declining, they are holding their own compared to the dramatic 20% per year decline in film sales. Interesting article.

    Re: Disposable Cameras

Interesting article. I don't think I've ever used one myself, but have actually seen some decent shots from them. Plenty of forgetful people here in the US too... I've seen people using waterproof disposables for watersports because of the convenience and cost savings - without them, some people just wouldn't take pictures out of fear of ruining their "good" camera.

i actually prefer disposable to digital, or.. "regular" digital anyway.. because of disposable being film. theres something about the feeling of film thats just.. better, in my opinion.. even when all you can do is point and shoot.

I buy disposable cameras for that exact reason. They're cheaper than an underwater housing!

Cheaper in the short term, I'll give you that, but I paid $140 for a (new, in box) Fantasea housing for my Coolpix 7900.. That's only about 10 or 12 underwater disposables.. Well worth the cost considering the quality difference. I haven't been very impressed with the photos I've seen taken with disposable cameras.

True 'nuff. Hey Brian I have the same camera as you. I dropped my Coolpix 885 into a canyon a few months ago and my gf bought me a 7900 for my birthday as a replacement. I read your review of it. It's a great little camera!

I like mine, I just wish it gave me a bit more control over exposure. I must admit that there are times that I'd much rather tote the 7900 around instead of my D100.. Case in point, this last weekend in Vegas when I snapped this one...
