DC Cherryblossoms

I know another member has posted shots of the Cherry Blossoms which peaked about a month ago. I just got around to getting prints made and scanning them, so please accept these for your viewing pleasure!

Weather was perfect, crowds were negotiable. It was the exact peak day of the blossoms, which is fortunate

I shot with the Nikon 8008s, Velvia 50 & tripod.

I had trouble with a color cast in these with the prints. They had a pink tint which I tried to work out, but the sides are yummy

1.) Washington Monument with Nikon 50mm 1.8
2.) Jefferson Memorial with Sigma 24mm
3.) Washington Monument over the fence with Sigma 24mm

Looks like you did have a beautiful day to take pictures. The second one is my favorite. I love the dof with the monument in the back and the way you framed it. Big sigh.....I'm still waiting for nice weather and blue sky.
