    D800 3 more shots

......From today. The detail in the shots are mind blowing. The first one is a reshoot. This is where I caught in a down pour. This afternoon was much better.

Is this the 17-35? I really like Coconuts Ice Cream.

Yes Charles the 17-35mm. It seems the focusing is getting better. I think it's me and not the camera. The last time I tried a shot of Coconuts was years ago with the E-510 and it didn't have enough DR to handle the lighted sign and I had to save it with PS. I did bring up the darks here slightly but it's not far from out of camera. This is the first time in a long time I have seen the place with all lights burning.

    Hi Greg:

I really like the lighting and the dimensional view of the store:
    " Coconuts Ice Cream ".

I am trying to however, visualize, based on the right hand side (end) of the brick work on the building, how "thick" or deep is this store?

Sounds weird perhaps, but, I am wondering how much of the "rear" of the store / building, can protrude behind as there appears to be a street parallel to the backside, and therefore is this store's dimensions, only "barely" deep enough to have people serving at the counter, and not much else room on the interior area?

Maybe a couple of shots walking around the buildings perimeter would help me get a better grasp on what the building "looks like".:thumbsup:

    Thanks for sharing....

Your making me rethink my decision not to go to a D800. Nice work Greg!
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Take a look at the Waffle House shot on my Facebook wall. It was shot at 3200 ISO. If that don't make you add one to the cart nothing will. It looks like 100 ISO, no joke.

Yeah Liz I am bad to get GAS, Gear Acquisition Syndrome. This one was a surprise as someone bought it that I know and found it overly complicated and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Or could have but was weak after they said Test Drive it and see what you can do.
I was done in. I may have to sell the OMD-E-M5 to help with part of the cost and maybe something else. Maybe my M6. I hate to part with that but it has been collecting dust.
