    Re: Congrats Loupey

    Thanks, everyone!

I'm looking forward to getting my issue in the mail. Yeah, I've know about the selection for quite a while (since December) but I hadn't told anyone except for the wife

For those that may not know the section, anyone can upload their photos on their website. Each day the editors pick 12 to show on their site and people vote on them. The top vote-getter for the entire month gets published in the next issue. But the editors at NGS also pick their favorite and these images get published much later (to match the issue/season I think). Mine is the editors' pick and the first image I uploaded. I have a second image being considered (bee on the water) for another issue (but not yet confirmed).

Have at it. It is fun to see the different images each day and to see what appeals to the masses and what does not.

The National Geographic is printed in 32 languages and has 8 million subscribers - definitely worth the effort
