    Conference Protestors

I have always wanted to photograph the "protestors" at the LDS church's annual conferences. It has always interested me. So I did it last weekend. I am not trying to make any kind of statement, these are just photographs of what I saw. Some of the "protestors" were using humor to make their point, some were very serious. There were even some that were protesting the "protestors" and even a few that were there just to be there..

One of the "protestors" who had an interesting message...

And then of course you have the ones protesting the "protestors'', albeit with a little humor...

    Brian,

Lovely pics. Way up here in northren BC, we don't get many events like that, but when I went to California, wow. Lots of sign holders and interesting people. I love the way how you managed to incorporate the sign and the person, nice touch.

    Love the pics,

    Jared

    Re: Conference Protestors

I think ANYONE who feels strongly enough about something to PROTEST has a right to be SEEN and HEARD(even if they have a disturbing message to convey.... not implying this fits that catagory though). But just because I think they should be heard and seen doesn't mean I think they shouldn't be hit by warer cannons and laughed at too

TAN M&M 's ROCK! and the "other meat" was humorous too.

    Brian, these are great!

I love the diversity. Protesters against the LDS, protesters against the protesters, and some just out having fun. This has to be the most well rounded protest I've ever seen. It's hilarious.

BTW, I like the "Southern Baptist, the other white meat" sign! That one cracked me up!

Some really nice images here Brian. Love the low angle perspective you used in some. Very nice control of color and contrast into the sky and sun. Well done.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??
