    Columbus Car Show

My son and his friend "took" me to the event recently to browse the current selection of vehicles available for him

As expected, the crowd seemed smaller and somber compared to past shows. I was surprised that the interest here is largely still with the SUV's, trucks, and the Jeeps given the recent gasoline fiasco.

Naturally I took my favorite walk-about pair (Canon 5D and 24-105mm f/4L IS) with me:

    Those are good car shots.
I think there's always interest in suv and pickups but I don't think people will be buying them much.

Great shots Loupey, That 'Vette is wicked. I still think the traditional Jeep Wranglers are the best looking, and trail ready. That '09 Jeep sure does look "pretty" though

Just the kind of images I would expect from you. You made the cars come alive great color and light detail.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Re: Columbus Car Show

Thanks for looking and commenting, guys! Although I'm not a "car guy", I do like to photograph them when I get the chance.

The Smart Cars were there too. Cute and surprisingly roomy inside - ideal on a small vacation island or resort or for a quick trip for some groceries. But I don't think I could buy one for the family as long as there are other monster cars and trucks sharing the road.

But it was fun to watch people curious about it. One tall guy couldn't shut the door and actually got stuck momentarily.

    Loupey,

As always, great shots. I really like the 4th one with the guy measuring the tire size against his leg.

    Re: Columbus Car Show

    shootme, JamesV, Rivman - thanks!

Here is the last batch. The first one I recognized from my youth (I didn't own one but wanted one) - a Datsun 240z.

As for the Lamborghini, my son tells me it is a Murcielago. The sticker stated 9 mpg city / 14 mpg highway. Couldn't make out the price though

Good driving everyone. Be careful out there.
