colourless photos help needed

Hi Im new around here so not sure exactly how this works , but I have a problem with my photos im taking I have a canon 300d and my pictures seem to coming out lacking colour and very plain looking , could it be just because the weather is overcast or is it a camera setting not correct ...any help would be greatly appreciated ....gemma

Most cameras have different settings you can adjust, I shoot with an Olympus so I can't speak for a Canon. But on my Oly I can set it to Natural, Muted, Vivid ect. I can also add a touch of saturation to each of those. You may just be in the wrong setting.

Is the problem in what is printed or what you see either on the camera display or on a computer monitor?

Greg mentioned a couple of possibilites, additionally what are you using as your White Balance?

Post an example or two as that might help to diagnose the problem!
