    Colorado Cabin Fever

Cabin Fever has been getting the best of me lately.
So I put a log on the fire, made a pot of coffee and dug up my summer pictures. Here is one of my favorite places to visit.

Pawnee Pass, Ward, Colorado 10,000 ft above sealevel

Why is it we always want what we can't have?

If you have pictures of a favorite place you can't get to right now I'd love to see them...

I'd love to be there, at the right time of the year of course. Are there any fish in there? That's a beautiful panny.

    Hi Mike,
I have never fished their but I'd bet you it has Brook Trout.

When I lived in CO I used to head to Boulder and then up toward Lyons and Ward. Left Hand Reservoir is one of my favorite places. Nederland and Eldora offer some really good mountain biking too. I love the trail behind Eldora up to Caribou, the view of Eldora ski area is great. One of my favorite hikes is the hike up to Fourth of July Mine and then beyond to the top of the peak. The top looks down on Left Hand Res. from the western side of the peak. Purdy.

My wife's home town, and the house her father grew up in...
15 Karl Marx street, Balakhna, Russia, directly on the banks of the River Volga.

These are scans from prints I took circa 2001 with some PP added for effect. This place is still buried under a lot of snow, and will be til May. Hoping to get back either this summer or next. (the church with scaffolding in the background of the second shot will be celebrating it's 1000th birthday next year)

Nice Jetrim, Now that house was built with pride. Look at that detailed woodwork around the window. It's nothing like the sticks and sheetrock they throw up today.

EOSThree, I have been to all the places you listed. That whole area rocks.

starriderrick, what's got you thinking? roadtrip? I would be happy to provide directions if that is what you are thinking.

Thanks guys for the kind words. I would love to see some of your favorite places if you have them handy...
