    Checking In?

Back in December a trio of brave explorers ventured North. Our target? A hotel, abandoned for four years, a hotel, I had driven by many times before, both when it was active and when it was abandoned, and only once when I knew it was abandoned. I would've stopped by then, but certain passengers of mine don't approve of this hobby. It was a cold day, fraught with snow, and OPP. Thankfully didn't get caught, had a close call, but didn't get caught.

(These shots are were taken with a Pentax MZ-7 using Agfapan Vario-XL Film exposed at ISO-125)

    They must clean regularly....no dust.
    Didn't "they" see your footprints?

Axle, your work is the best. Keep it coming!...

I know the scale is much much smaller, but when I see these shots, especially in the snow, I can't help but think of The Shining...

BTW, we appreciate the risks you take for your art. In a way, I'm guessing that's part of the appeal, or at least adds a bit of a thrill to the process. Know that I and others are here to head your Legal Defense Fund should you ever get "caught" and need assistance...

    Very nice!!!

I'm with Steve...a little bit of "the shining" going on in those first ones...

Really like these, especially the b&w's.

I'm already working on the "Free Axle!" t-shirts. They should sell like hotcakes...
