Hi everyone!
I managed to fall off the planet again, but I wanted to check in and see how everyone's doing.
All here is well and good now, but I've had a bit of turmoil over the past couple months..
Towards the end of February, I was in a 55 MPH, head-on collision. Thankfully, I walked away without a scratch, unfortunately, the person in the other vehicle wasn't so lucky. Although their injuries were serious, they were not life threatening and they are expected to make a full recovery.
My big red dodge was deemed a total loss, sustaining over 13k in damages. Although I hated the gas milage it gave me, I appreciate its solid construction that, ultimately, saved me from potential serious injury. On March 16, I replaced Big Red with a Toyota FJ Cruiser and I'm loving my new ride. Never before have I been so excited about a new car. I can't stop thinking about getting her out and driving her, both on the road and off. For those of you that aren't familiar with the FJs, I'll include a photo...
Ok, enough about the new car.. The real reason I stopped in tonight is that I wanted to share something else with my friends at PR.com. As I was leaving my Mom and Dad's tonight, I discovered a nesting humming bird. I plan on keeping a photo journal of her progress. Hopefully she'll hatch a baby or two that I'll be able to share with you as well..
We have 2 varities of humming birds in this area.. Allen's and this one, which I've managed to forget their name.. :mad2: Paul (or any other birder), feel free to chime in and help me out.
It's great seeing everyone again! I look forward to catching up with all of you.
