    The Checkers Champ

Outside Cracker Barrel waiting for a table. Just a little something for fun, not serious photography. But then to me that's what photography is all about, FUN.

It is soooo wrong that CA doesn't (and won't) have Cracker Barrels. I am extremely envious of anyone that lives near one. LOL

Nice shots OT. I hope you set him straight and taught him a thing or two when it was your turn to play. ;-)

OT - I love your hometown human interest shots! Yes, they are fun. They are also personal, life-giving and they all tell a story. I look forward to seeing each of your photo series - I always come away with my spirits lifted.

    Thanks for sharing them.

Now that looks like a Checker player.

It is supposed to be fun even if it is serious. But that's why I'm not a photo-journalist.

I wouldn't survive well without Cracker Barrel. It is one of my standard places to go eat at the end or beginning of long days.

This is a strange series of photographs because the subject appears to be playing against themselves.

Oh it was a real game all right. I thought that the photos with just the one subject told the story better when I focused on that one player.

We make Cracker Barrel a regular stop when we are on the road. This morning both sides of Jack's family meet for breakfast the morning after his big third birthday party. the checker player is Jack's other grandfather.

Morning, noon or night I can eat one of their great breakfast offerings. This Sunday it was the meal named for me. The Old Timer's Breakfast.

Thanks you Liz you are always way too kind with your comments about my photos. If you want a picture that tells a story here is one of only four that Joy took this weekend, but one that tells a story of a family and the way we feel about each other.
