For those of you who may not frequent the Nature and Wildlife Forum of this site, please help us congratulate our own Canon_Bob for winning 1st Place in Canon's National Parks Photo contest.
There were actually two PR members who placed in the top 10. The winning photos won't be posted in Canon's website until December 15th. But if you want a quick preview to Canon_Bob's winning image, you can see it here:
Yet another testiment to the talents of all the wonderful photographers here on our site that help make these forums so rich with helpful and friendly advice.
Well said Loupey! Congratulation to Bob and big thanks to all the PR members for sharing their knowledge and expertise. I know there are a lot more winners out there in the PR family that have not gotten the recognition they deserve.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??
Nikon Samurai #13
"A photographer is known by what he shows not by what he throws. The best photographers have the biggest trash cans." Quote from Nikon School sometime in the early 1970's.
Thank you for the kind words all, and thank you Loupey for posting this! I must admit that I don't wander outside the Nature and Wildlife forum much, but I'm pretty active over there. They infomed me today that there were just a few over 20,400 entries in the contest. That definitely took me aback, and made me realize the scope of all this. I still have a hard time absorbing it.
At the end of the day, though....this is only a beginning. I am more motivated than ever, and plan to kick it up another notch and go for some higher bars now. Along the way I plan to help others as well. This has been such a great forum, and to have 2 members in the top 10 in that contest is truly a testimonial to the qulaity of people here.
