Well, my "family" has shrunk since I sold some of my better lenses - like the 17-40L and 24-105L IS. I'm left with the XTi (love that camera) and a Canon 28mm/f1.8 and my favorite the 50mm/f1.4 - and I just purchased the new Canon 18-55IS. With a price tag of $175 it's a very good buy. Reviews have stated that it's IQ is well above the kit 18-55 (non-IS). I'm not sure whether I'm going to keep it or not - I keep looking at the images through "L" colored lenses!

At any rate, I have the G9 to add to my collection - sort of like the adopted member of the family - excellent camera but looks a bit different. I'll have to figure out how to shoot the whole gang together. Guess I'll borrow a camera. I sold one to the office worker upstairs.
