Why does the 8x10 exist? The 8x10 forces us to recompose our shot and to the unknowning non-serious photographer they don't realize how much photo is chopped off from the original.
For example, I have a standard mother/daughter wedding photo. If I do the 8x10 (above), I will need to chop off body and head in this particular photo. If I go with the 8x12 (below), I don't need to edit.
I feel that this is a conspiracy for kodak, frame makers, and others alike to save on materials by compromising our creative intent and to a charge us more in the long run.
I demand WYSIWYG laws to be past! Call your senator.
Of course I'm trying to be funny....maybe nobody is laughing....:blush2:
