While I do prefer to remain above the fray, I must say Canon is the only real choice.

    Re: Bring out your weapons.

Sorry chaps but this competition is a non-starter. A couple of weeks ago a program on UK TV, I think it was the gadget show, asked a reputable professional photographer to compare a Nikon 6Mpixel, Fuji 3MPixel and Kodak 3MPixel camera from the photographs taken; same photo in each case.

To say that he had a tough time comparing the Kodak cheapo <£100 v the Nikon expensive £500+ to choose which camera it was is putting in mildly; Well you have to wonder if this is a fair fight. By the way he spotted the Fuji straight off and declared it the worst.

I guess CANON weren't asked because it would have made it unfair to all other camera makes ;)

In a test like that The Nikon can not be taken at face value, seeing as how Nikon gets all their sensors from Sony and, cough cough, Kodak.

I think I will continue using cameras that are made by the same people that make the sensors.

Aye the bat-tle lines have been drawn! Let the fanfare cease! Let us come now to business.

An idea was given to me last night as I dreampt of Nikkors and sweet meats. Shall we make of this battle the theme of...

    $$Money?$$

    Re: Bring out your weapons.

Ugh don't remind me....had to use them for a while until I got totally new ones- they're a remnant from my youth but my cats would sleep on my bed and i've recently been diagnosed with asthma, and so cats on the bed is a big no-no.

Maybe I should do another...I have one less camera but more lenses and extras....
And my new sheets/comforter happen to be in Nikon colors...
