    Blue Eyed Bella

    Hi Guys and Girls

I'm just after some advice....does this photo, with her blue eyes showing....does it look normal or does it look too bright because the rest of her face is almost white?

I'd try lowering the saturation on the face rather than desaturating it altogether. Otherwise the baby's eyes look way out of place.

    First off she's darling.

I'd like to see more contrast and depth in the B&W portion. Her face is blown out.

Her eyes I'd like to see a bit more natural blue. I love selective coloring, and think you are really onto something here.
    It's not blurry. It's bokeh.

    Re: Blue Eyed Bella

    Thanks for the comments guys.

I posted this shot at work and apparently the shot is a little too soft and the background is a little "ordinary", according to some.

I might have another go at it and re-post it.

    Cheers!

EDIT: Here we go, an edited version. Feel free to adjust as you wish. If you would like a higher res shot to play with, let me know and I'll provide.

I liked the tones in the first better. It's a personal preference, I like my skin tones lighter, less grey.

The blue does nothing for me in the b&w. I'd go either all color, or all black and white. If you were going to color the eyes, I'd go very soft, and do a bit more color as well. Sort of hand colored b&w-ish.

    Cute cute kid tho.

Very cute pic. Like the expression facial expression. I do like the re-edit a little better as the eyes are toned down a little. They just looked to demonic in the first pic. I do agree with Adina too, I think the skin tones were a little better in the first.
