    Birches

I've always liked birches for the way they highlight a woods, both with their always watchful trunks and their cheery fall foliage. Here's a close look at one that's brightening a Reo parking lot in Madison, WI.
If anyone else wants to post some shots of birches here, please feel free to do so.

Nice shot, I like the leaves around the edges but also the shadows on the trunk. They still look great after they lose their leaves, waiting for winter.

Hey Chunk, I hope this qualifies. I think it is a birch, it was out in front of my son's appartment this past weekend in Columbus. At any rate it has some very interesting bark.

    Re: Birches

Nice shot Steve. I'm afraid they won't have too long to wait, although I am going to take advantage of the unseasonally warm weather today and go for a ride in southwestern Wisconsin. Maybe I'll see some more birches or at least their aspen cousins.

Very nice Larry. I love the patterns and details as well as the subtle color.
