    Frog Jumping Festival

We enjoyed the 43rd annual frog jumping contest/festival at a local village this past weekend. The weather is great, the turnout was fantastic, and the frogs were giant!

The lighting was about as harsh as it ever gets in the natural world. Should have taken a flash to fill in the shadows but I was there for pleasure.

Seems the preferred technique was to blow on them.

An alternate method was to pound the ground next to them with their fists. I expected a few flattened frogs but that never happened

These are great, Loupey. The combination of kids and frogs is just making me smile.

btw...I don't jump for no one.

Exceptional series of images Loupey! Looks like it was great fun for the kids and the adults as well. I was the official judge for a frog jumping contest a few years ago when I was the mayor of my small town. I dressed up with a derby hat and black and suspenders and had a ball.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Great set of photos. I love it!

Did you have to bring your own frog?

    Re: Frog Jumping Festival

Thank you very much for looking and taking the time to comment, gracie_r, Grandpaw, and LightBright.

gracie_r - no, they provided tubs and tubs of frogs that they caught on some local pond. They had two tubs at each ring (about 6~8 rings total) and they would rotate them out with new tubs that they had on a trailer in the shade. Thanks for asking.
