    Beware the Killer Yorkie

Okay, so nothing particularly "Killer" about her
This is one of my grandma's yorkies, Baby. Nana bought her when she was nine months old at a rummage sale in Arkansas (not kidding).

I took her up the trail today, for a nice two mile walk...

She looks cold but it was probably good for her to get out! I shot some shots of my sister's yorkies yesterday.

Some yorkies think they're killers or want you to believe so.
Two miles must have been quite a walk for it. Last shot looks like she's saying, "Please pick me up now. My feet are freezing!"
Cute little thing.. Hard to imagine its ancestors were wolves.

    No puppy boots!?!

Try coating the feet with a bit of Vaseline if nothing else before venturing out in that type of stuff. Snow doesn't stick, pads don't tear, and salt doesn't get into the surface of the pads. Happy dog feet! Plus the Vaseline won't hurt them if they should lick it off. Don't use anything water soluble or it just washes off in the first five minutes. Then a little warm water and a drop or two of Dawn dishwashing detergent when you get home to clean off the remnants.

Yes, I've been dealing with lots of dog paw issues this winter.
