    Bay Area Snow

Ok, so we've got nothing on the East Coast, or midwest's current snow storms...
however, it's excting when the Bay Area gets some snow... every few years.
We went from 75- 78 degree weather last weekend, to 34 degrees midday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The first image was our view of Diablo on Saturday when it was "covered" (well to our standards...) ;)
We went up Sunday. While the mountain is less than 20 miles from our house, it takes 45 minutes to drive to the road leading up, and another hour to get up with all the traffic on the mountain.

Rebekah, great, looks like such an incredible view. And the snow was a treat. i like the image of your son throwing the snowball at you at what looks like splatting off the lens. The traffic on the mountain i hope is a sunday thing, and maybe because of the weather everyone thinking it was the good place to check out. That a drag to have to be in an hour of traffic on a mountain. Over here, I go to the mountains to get away from all the people and traffic. Great shots to share

    That brings back memories

I grew up in San Francisco. Whenever our scout troop camped on Mt. Dialog, it snowed on us. It was cold and wet, but fun.

I think Mt. Dialog has some as having the greatest field of view (or something). It's the tallest thing for many miles. On a good clear day, one is supposed to able to see Half Dome in Yosemite.

Nice shots VillaC. Thanks for posting them.

I've seen Mt. Diablo from the Sierra Buttes. They're off Hwy 49, between Nevada City and Truckee. They're the white spot in the middle of this map: http://maps.google.com/?ll=39.596165...1,0.925598&t=h

    Thanks, Rebekah

Thnanks for posting those, Rebekah. I should have been up early on Saturday morning to get pictures. But, well, you know...

I had an appointment to do engagement photos for a friend, on Sunday afternoon, in the Santa Cruz mountains. It was snowing when they go there. I wasn't expecting that. We shot anyway. Aside from low light and some resulting camera shake, I think it was neat. Not what we'd planned for, but probably better.

My favorites from your photos are the first and last. Your little guy is very cute. But you know that
