I am actually suprised that it didn't actually feel as cold as it looked this morning. I was expecting it to feel much colder than it did. My wife and I made a last minute trip to the San Francisco Zoo yesterday afternoon and it was 45 degrees at 3:30pm. Most of the animals were tucked away from the cold and the lighting was not on my side. It was kind of a wash. This wasn't really supposed to be the all day trip to the zoo anyway. We'll go back soon. This morning there was plenty of ice on the roads with lots of frozen water droplets. Here's one example from about 9:30am -
