basic lighting shoot

did this today in our photo workshop class. one of my friends, three lights. camera left w/ umbrella, camera right aimed at a white piece of foam core, and bg light on white paper. The BG is a too hot (probably from some light reflecting off the foamcore onto the bg, or the bg light just not being evenly placed), but we were shooting 4"x5" and I just switched the sync over to my digital and took a couple shots for fun, so i didnt bother changing any positions or anything. I must say, the lighting set-up is pretty decent. I didn't set it up, another person in my group did. My set-up was cool, but I don't have any shots from it.

Brent, not too bad at all. I have found using a white background to be the hardest to light. If it is off a little in any spot it shows!

I also like the set up b/c the lighting is not flat and creates a nice moodiness.

My self I would not be happy with this shoot, too much shadow on the face.
