Bareback Rideing in a lake/ first time..

When I received the call to photograph Lisa and her horse Elli last week, I figured it would be just another portrait. She said she wanted to have it done at the lake (Folsom) and I met her there yesterday. She then told me that her horse Elli is now 26 years old and never been swimming, and she was going to change that. Well she did, and in record time. To my amazement this horse was swimming in just over an hour. Lisa had been bucked off the horse twice in that time but she never gave up. You can see the determination in both there faces in the pictures. I wish every photo shoot was like this one, another reminder of why I love doing what I do.
