Banned in Iran,then invited back...

A real trip ,but worth it,-warm,wonderful people,great scenery-old cities-and government glitches.

Our permit was revoked,hours before the opening night,then before we left,several members met with the PM,and were really amazed at his warmth,humbleness and desire to come to a show,next time. (!)

As there were no live music shows to shoot,became a tourist,but my shots leave me wondering if the desert sun got to me....(I know the food did-it was tasty,but heavy on the meat) .....shooting @ 100km per hour,mostly,from a bus.

We got so much attention from the ban,our backers are extremely enthusiastic,
we now have a World Tour starting in 8 days,-Turkey and Iran,
then Netherlands,France,UK,Morocco ,Dubai,etc..

AND my boss says my new Canon XSi will be here for the next trip !!
(So I guess I owe the knuckleheads in the Gov. a debt of thanks for my new camera lol )

So, I was really off my game,shooting,ill, and glad to get a rare second chance,when we return..
-and yes,that is a wreath at a certain well-known tomb.

Interesting story, susaan. I do hope we get to see the pics of the upcoming world tour, sounds exciting. That would be really great if some of our UK members were able to get on with it as well.

I don't think that will be a problem,Smart Wombat,we are used to tuns of shooters,
Here are a few of our own.....

1-The youngest,only 7,borrowing Ipol's Rebel.

2-Daood,drummer,with his first point-and-shoot.

3-Saleem,(Flutes,Percussion,vocals)-with his 40D,swapping lenses with Ipol and Daood.

4-Ipol,a well-respected Indonesian producer/video director getting shot,shooting.

Found this clip,where Ipol directs while not exactly my fav. music,love the style,it gives a good idea of pop/rock at its best in Indo,right now)
