    Back from Berkshires

A couple of friends and I spent a week in the Berkshires. We stayed in Lenox and spent a lot of time taking in the beauty. We didn't see many trees changing color yet - the season begins in about a week, but staying there in between seasons (summer/foliage) saved us about 2/3 of what it would cost in "season."

Here are just a few pictures from Mt. Graylock, the highest mountain in Massachusetts. The two of the monument were shot within minutes - check out the sky.

These images are great..... but you need to get that piece of fibre and dust off your sensor ;)

    Paul - question

Thanks! I thought it was my monitor.

Question: I don't think I want to do this myself - I'm not good at "fixing" fragile equipment.

The only place I know that services cameras around here basically does 35mm equipment. Where can I find a local place - or place in Manhatten to do this?

    Thanks for any help.

I'll post in Helpfiles in case Paul doesn't see this.

Very nice images. Looks like a beautiful place to spend some get away time. Hope you are back and refreshed and ready to head into the city and get us some of your great street photos.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Very nice photos Liz. Had I been well, I certainly would have tried to make the trek to the Berkshires to see you! I really hope to meet you some day.

Hope you get your sensor problem fixed quickly and easily.

    Re: Back from Berkshires

Thanks OT. The Berkshires are so awesome. I may take an overnight trip up to see the foliage in 2 weeks. Maybe!

Yes, I haven't been in NY for a while - and hope to get there when I get my new lens. Nothing like NY! But I don't think anyone goes there for rest and relaxation! It's a different kind of fun - amazing how you understand what a "New York minute" is after you've been there.

    Thanks Lara.

I've been thinking about you - and still have the hope we will meet some day - in the not too distant future. I do hope you're feeling better.

The sensor - hmmmmmm - never had a problem like this. I'm not good at the technical stuff, but maybe I'll give this a shot. Thank goodness for Steve's awesome explanation and his taking the time to type it all out.

    Re: Paul - question

    Liz..

I set my camera to "sensor clean" which raises the mirror(on mine) and DISCHARGES the sensor. From there I use a LARGE blower bulb and blow the dust out. NEVER touching the (filter on top of) THE SENSOR

Turning your camera so the lens mount is DOWN will make gravity carry the blown impuries out of your camera
