Attn Ladies, Kodak Wants You... ;)

I thought I'd share another photography related article that appeared in today's SL Trib about how Kodak is focussing, as it were, on women, in an effort to get them to start taking pictures again.

Hmmm, that makes 3 Kodak users on this forum, all 3 are male, lol! So, maybe Kodak's scheme isn't working. I see a Kodak Klub in the future...

Let's see. Women used to shoot two thirds of the film. I guess it was too hard for men?

BUT, when digital SLR's came out, the men jumped all over them. Men are technology hounds?

So now Kodak is marketing simple digital to women. Hmmm, women are simple?

OK, I'm making fun of it, but these do seem to be the points they are making. Their profits seem to indicate their marketing is working though.

I guess my view of this is skewed from the women photographers I know here at PR. Nat and Penny shoot digital SLR's, and can out shoot and out photoshop me any day of the week. As can Adina, Liz, Lara, ...

I guess we have a higher caliber of women photographers here at PR!
