    Any tips?

I have been doing a few things for the Portsmouth Humane Society this year. Today they are doing a chili cook off and have asked me to come out and take pictures for their webpage.

There are obvious things like the contest winners and such that I'll be sure to take photo's of.

Does anyone have any other tips/ideas for me to remember today? Its in about 2 hours.
    Thanks!

Guess I missed this yesterday too... I would have said a spare set of batteries and just use your judgement - you never know what'll happen. But - how'd it go?

    Re: Any tips?

It went pretty well It was smaller than I thought it was going to be but it was fun. Did get to see a RT Hawk fly in, but I couldn't get a shot because I was at a bad angle and under a tent. It flew in as I was talking to a man whose name was .. get this.. Hawk. LOL

Towards the end, they were doing the raffle prizes and somone from the ASPCA drove up and apparantly.. someone had just dropped off a newborn puppy. They said that they had found it and that the puppies back was broken. (believe what you will.)

They asked for any donations so they could take the puppy to the vets. They got about 230 dollars for the pup at the cook off.

I'm still going thru all the pictures. They want them for their website so I am going to put them on a CD and let them choose what they want to put up there.

    Thanks for asking

Oh.. I know the ASPCA people. She and Mike were running the cook off. They have the puppy. This was a small event. Mike said it went better than he thought (their first one) but it was still really small. Definitely wasn't a scam. Mike and Michelle were giving out the raffle prizes and they announced it over the microphone after they found out.

Yeah it was pretty cold. I was ok in jeans and a sweatshirt, but my hands froze and after a while it got hard to push the buttons on the camera without thawing out my hands first lol
