    Post Another "Great" passes on....

I don't know if any of you had heard, but Pulitzer Prize winning Photojournalist Eddie Adams passed away yesterday. He was 71.
Here is an article in today's Seattle Times.

I have always admired his photography! So much so, that in a digital art class I took his Pulitzer Prize winning image and replaced the gun with a hair dryer for an assignment where we had to take Journalistic type photograph and make it not so journalistic by replacing an element or two in the original image.

    Viva Con Dios Eddie!

Three years ago I wouldn't have known who he was. Today I do. Sad to hear, and as you said, he was one of the great ones.

BTW, he was also a Nikon shooter! A gentleman of discrimating taste. He will be missed!

    I know!

    Nikon all the way!

Also back in college I applied to go to his workshop. Unfortunately I did not get in.

I see that Another View beat me to this and posted a simliar thread with another source.
