Afternoon at ICP

I have to let out a big SQUEE -
I went to ICP this afternoon with a friend

The was one photographer in the show - a South African artist -
and her work was Holga work.

I'm just thrilled that toy camera work is being taken seriously outside of the weird realm of toy camera enthusiasts!

Very cool! I was so close to ICP when in NYC in December but never made it there. I only had about a day and a half to see the city (where do you start?!) so I opted for a Magnum retrospective instead... I'll be back soon, I hope!

A whole gallery of holga's? Wow, that must've been impressive...what was her theme? Or was holga the theme?

Toy Cameras at ICP! NICE!!
I like some of her stuff, but that series of toys chewed up by her dog, is a wierd!?

Well, one wall in the gallery. It was a huge show with many different artists. There were 3 or 4 Holga landscapes.

The show consists of work by African photographers. Pretty neat work.
