    Acapulco B&W

Been around for some time now and for one reason or another I haven't shared any pics...mainly hardware issues, but there is always a first time, so here are some pics taken in my last trip to Acapulco one of the most famous beaches in Mexico. Took them with my old point and shoot Canon. Yesterday I started playing with Lightroom and I was pretty happy with the results. I`ll post the rest of them in a couple of days.
Hope you like them and any comments welcome.

Welcome! I'm glad you've decided to join in and post some of your photos. I'm a fan of b&w and these are very nice - I especially like the last one. Do you do mostly b&w? I find it much more challenging doing b&w with digital. However, I have the Panasonic LX3 and it includes a "Dynamic b&w" feature that works well for me.

It's good to have you onboard.

Welcome and thanks for posting. I thought Acapulco was all sunshine - whats with the clouds? Watch the level of your horizons - water is always level. I prefer the third one with the logs giving foreground interest. - TF

Thanks Liz! I do shoot both color and B&W but being honest I have always liked B&W, I guess that a book of my dadīs marked me when I was little...yes...you guessed right Ansel Adams.
TBH Iīm not from a 35mm era...but yeah Iīve heard several comments about the challenge with digital cams. I guess that digital by itself do shoot poorly compared to the good old film. but we have the advantage of editing software which I just found it does great improvements.

Thanks for the level tip, Iīll take into account:thumbsup:

Acapulco is as you said mostly sunny days, but on the given week of my trip I wasn't lucky and was mostly clouded, thatīs the main reason I shot B&W...the color ones look murky all around.
