    50mm Walk About

It's been a little while since we did a 50mm thread. This past Saturday morning I snapped the 50mm f1.8 on the D2h and took a little walk about around town. Here are a few of the images I recorded. I have become so use to the zooms and standing in one spot and adjusting with the zoom that I found it refreshing to have to move up and back the way I did for years to frame my images. Feel free to post some of your resent 50mm shots here.

Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Cropped, levels, contrast, blurred edges slightly, turned up the blue a little more.

Wow Allison, that's a gorgeous shot of your daughter. Your portraits are generally great but this one is beyond that!

Just a few "oldies but goodies" from the NYC Orchid Show under a tent about 2 years ago. Shot with XT and 50mm/f1.4 lens. Some are a bit soft due to very low lighting and no flash - handheld.

Nice images Larry. Been meaning to get out and do the same thing myself. Glad you reminded me about the forums. I'd have missed out on these.
