    50mm Walk About
It's been a little while since we did a 50mm thread. This past Saturday morning I snapped the 50mm f1.8 on the D2h and took a little walk about around town. Here are a few of the images I recorded. I have become so use to the zooms and standing in one spot and adjusting with the zoom that I found it refreshing to have to move up and back the way I did for years to frame my images. Feel free to post some of your resent 50mm shots here.

Going to take me a long while to get tried of looking at this one Alison. Love everything about it. So what's wrong with posting pics of the kids?

Cropped, levels, contrast, blurred edges slightly, turned up the blue a little more.

Just a few "oldies but goodies" from the NYC Orchid Show under a tent about 2 years ago. Shot with XT and 50mm/f1.4 lens. Some are a bit soft due to very low lighting and no flash - handheld.

I was hard at work in the office this afternoon when I spied these two little cookie munchers hanging out behind me. It was getting dark in the building and we hadn't turned on the lights yet -- but I like shooting with my 50mm f1.8 in lower light situations.

Great use of the 50 f1.8. Wonderful images. Those are the kind that can often be missed because we don't have a good fast lens at our fingertips.
