    500th post & portrait

Hi all .. this is my 500th post! It's amazing how quickly this landmark has come around. I know it isn't a huge number compared to some folk, but I still wanted to mark it by saying 'thanks' to all you guys (and guyettes!) who have helped, critiqued and encouraged - and occasionally made me laugh.

To mark it, this is a photo of me taken this morning in my 'place of work'! Obviously, I didn't take the picture (it was taken by a keen photographer in my congregation) but it was my camera and I did the post-processing.

Roger: If you see this thread, you know what I look like for our meet up next month (although I am a lot more scruffy when not at work)

    Cheers
    Mike

I don't think I have ever seen a picture of Roger.

What part of London are we talking about here? There's no way I am going through central London. Why not a meet at a motorway service station

    Alison

Well, we've already set it up to meet at Victoria - just lunch, not a shoot. We'll see how it goes though - if it works well maybe we'll resurrect the idea of a more "mass" meet.

    Cheers

Yay! That would be so cool.
I know you were trying to arrange a meeting a while back. Let's hope a mass meeting can be arranged

Great photo Mike and congrats on the 500th post. That is a very BIG accomplishment. We all appreciate how active and helpful you have been here on PR.

Oh and you do cleanup pretty well. But your probably like me and prefer the scruffies and the floppy hat.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Alison,

Now you've done it - avert your eyes nasty picture coming up; and Mike will see the real thing soon

You could catch a train to Waterloo East and then a quick tube to Victoria if your daring enough:thumbsup:

Mike thanks for the picture - now all I need to do is remember to look at it before leaving.
