    40 of most powerful photographs

    You may notice that few if any of these photos are 'technically' worthy except for the subject matter.
    Have to admit that #6 almost brought me to tears.

    The list is missing a few that were iconic. Like the vietnamese execution with the guy holding a gun to a guy's head. Or the running little girl that was napalmed in cambodia (I think). It's crazy how many of these are military related. At first, I was thinking the ones that were featured were heavily military subjected, but then I just realized the two that I suggested were also military related.

    What I see as a constant theme here is Emotion. Yeah most are not technically impressive. Those which are sharp seem to be where speed wasn't critical, where the photographer had a lot more time to set up and steady his camera, like the last shot of the Earth from the moon.

    Having read a lot of history, I like the second shot of the Russian tank crewman kneeling beside his (T-34) tank.
