    3rd and 4th from 1952

These two slides stuck out while I was making a PDF slide show for my brother. My grandfather shot these slides in the Marion\Black Mountain area of North Carolina. He kept some great notes too, I have a few of his old notebooks (as well as lots of his camera equipement) and I like to read his notes and look at his photos.

I think I am going to return to some of the state parks and try to take a few shots of the same things as Joe Bruner did in 1952.

OH YEAH...when I figure out how to past the Samurai Logo I will add it...???

What film were these shot on and what equipment of your grand father's do you now have. I would enjoy seeing you do a family portriat of these treasures and posting it in the above thread.

    These are cool..

Stuff like this is so neat. I'd also like to know a little more backstory behind these shots. Cool that you have his notes as well. Have fun with it all. I'd love to see more if you've got 'em.

    Thanks Guys
I have my grandfathers 120 mm camera, these were shot on a 35mm though. I have a lot of filters, a light meter, distance meter, flash, some ISO\Range references, and several other gadgets.

I am unsuer of what kind of film it is because the slides are mounted in glass protection slide holders.

The Bottom photo from right to left is my uncle Floyd, my grandfather Joe and my father is the boy on the right..thanks for looking and commenting.

I love the old pictures that show the styles of clothing that was common during that period.

    Old Family pics Circle?

Lots of fun! We could try a circle of old family pics (I'm a third generation photographer).

Its just not the clothing, some of the old cars and advertising are a kick! I'll dig out some goodies one of these days!

I was up there just yesterday. Great shots. I think the first one of the house that you posted is still my favorite of the set.

Maybe with his notes, you have the makings of an interesting book there.
Even if it's only a limited run from a specialist printer, copies for the family.
There was a printer a few years back that took Ventura publishing files nad would produce 1-20 bound books from them.
The people I worked for used them to make proof copies of their educational directory.
