Alright, I did a little research to find the original info, and here it is. I copied this from the original thread back in 2006 (edited slightly for date/misc info):

"If you're not familiar with the 24 series, it is basically a photo assignment on the mass level. People shoot within a single 24 hour period whatever they happen to see and experience - work, family, sunsets, events, travel, etc. The collected works become a "slice of life." We could do our own experiment, with the resultant work being a slice of the lives of photographyreview.com members.

All that is required of you if you wish to participate is to photograph your slice of life between 12:00am and 11:59pm on the day chosen. We'll have a thread to collect the photos in. The collection will then be "24 hours of photographyreview.com."

Of course, this type of assignment lends itself to digital photography, but there will plenty of time for film shooters to post pictures as well."
