Here is a list of the better known meteor showers for 2012. While astronomers have identified three dozen annual meteor showers, these are the better known, and depending on the moon, the best ones for viewing.

Thanks for this. I didn't realize one of the two really promising looking ones is Tuesday night!
I may try to get out for that one being a new moon and an anticipated 120/Hr rate.

Absolutely. Dress warmly and go watch them. If you have a wide angle lens, try some long exposures (30 seconds - minute) and see if you can capture any.

I printed out the schedule to keep as a reminder of when the next shower is coming up.
