    #2000

Okay, so I don't have a really great picture to post. I don't have any earth-shattering news.

So I figured I would share what I have been up to for the last 18 months.

    www.photographybyadina.com

Things have been going well, this is probably the 3rd site that I've gone thru, and will probably pick something different next year. But for now, this is what has been working for me. I've got 2 displays up at high end childrens boutiques, and really, that's all the marketing I do. Every 2 or 3 months, I mail something out to my current client base, just to keep in touch. I stay pretty busy from March/April to November, and then wrap things up for the holidays, take a month off and laze about. Then I spend two weeks getting ready to get back in gear, and start over.

Financially, things are good. Schedule-wise, things are good. All in all, life is good.

Congratulations Adina!! I wish I could capture people half as good as you do! I shot a wedding this weekend and I didn't enjoy it much... I'm much more comfortable sitting in the woods.

I really like the way your site is set up. Did you do it yourself or hire someone to put it together for you? I really need to revamp my site, but haven't had the time to work on it.

Nice web site. Love the 'liquid' tabs. Don't think I've seen that one before.

Thanks all. The site is a template I've bought, so anything technical was there. Photos are mine (obviously) and text is a mish mash from a couple different people.

    Thanks!

    Congratulations Adina,

This is the first time I've seen your website, although I couldn't forget some of those images that you posted here.

You have such a gift with photography, especially with children. You have a special touch that I haven't seen before. Your images are always creative, unique and really really beautiful.

    Thanks all.

I still remember the first photo I posted here. Someone (dsl712) suggested I work on my exposure.

Thanks Loren. I'm just trying to stay above depression (housing woes) so when this passes, and everything is back in order, new self-portraits! Tiara and all!

How's the lovely wife and baby to be doing?

    your in luck

for some unknown reason, it was still on the computer, right next to the un-ps'd one. The original wasn't as blown out and contrasty, but really flat, so with a little help from Microsoft PictureIt, I thought it looked great. My problem was lighting in the closet.

dsl712 (who I've met, and is such a nice guy) said I should try for proper exposure and contrast. Sebastian was a little nicer, he said he wasn't sure how to light a closet, but the kid was cute. And Hodgy agreed with dsl.

Took me a while after that bashing, but eventually I did post again.

wasn't it of your daughter laying on the floor with toys around her BW? or is that someone else? well that's what I remember---so hey you may have a third kid and you didn't even know it....

    Thank you so much adina.
It's nice to see a then and now shot.
That makes me realise there is still hope for me and photography.
I know I have come a long way but I still feel as though I can't get things just right.
    One day, hey?

    Hey Adina,

I certainly hope that things get back in order for you soon. Housing is such a pain in the a$$...

Karen is doing well and everything is going well in baby land... It's all very exciting and scary at the same time. Our house is way to small with baby and two huge dogs. Thoughts of buying a couple of yurts on a small piece of land sound good right now.

Best wishes to you and your family from our family...

I thought I posted to this earlier today but I don't see it here. So let me say once again congratulations on #2000 a feat that not that many have been able to accomplish and certainly not with your great humor and wonderful images. The web site is awesome. Great job with it, I'm sure it is attracting lots clients your way. I hope the next 200 post will be as much of a blast for you as the first 2000. Keep em coming.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??
