I had a little trouble posting an image in the critique forum yeaterday. Actually, I didn't have "trouble" it was more an "I hope I did this right" situation..
Keep playing with it Liz, I'm sure you'll get it soon.. In fact, I'll try and upload something and if it works I'll tell you what I did.
Cross your fingers!?!?
Nikon Samurai #3
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail...but, a true
friend will be sitting next to you saying, "Damn...that was fun!"
The properties of Liz's photo that I copied are different. There is an added part to the extention. PJ, any thoughts? I sure hope it's not the AOL thing again!
and I'm glad you were able to get these posted. I got lucky on my 1st attempt on the Critique forum with posting an image. I must have been lucky since I have no idea what I'm doing. :-) Nice color and composition in both images, Liz.
out a post of Photo Critique by Speed which includes a few photos. The first 2 photos come up on my screen the same way mine did - just an icon. The last 2 posts with images I can see.
When I click on the icons in the first two I get a downloading box; then after it downloads it says "this device is not ready." However, others have critiqued the images, so I know they can see them.
Thanks Lara. It's good to have you around here, really nice!

I checked out the post by speed that you are referring to. I see the same as you. File information instead of the pic. I am talking with John and will get back to you.
Update: So far John has figured out that if you post more than one photo per post this is happening. He is going to see if there is a setting to fix that problem. Stay tuned
Are they there now, I tried something and it didn't work. I deleted my post and all of a sudden the images appeared in your original thread again, on the page reloading. Very weird.

Not weird Peter John and I have been working together to get things fixed. You guys can now post up to 4 photos in one post.
Told you I'd get back to you Liz ;) Glad it's good news!
Peter - thanks for trying. I appreciate all that you do! It's very new, and I'm not quite as far as you are in figuring it all out.
Hiya Liz. I'm thrilled that things are working out well for Photography forums. There are a lot of bells and whistles, so don't be afraid to experiment with settings and such.
I am also so very grateful to Peter when for visiting Computing Review forums to rescue me when their is a techie question I can't answer As always Peter, much appreciated!
That's OK Liz. I have been working with and building computers for 15 years and have grown up with them, from the beginning, when Microsoft was just a fledgling company, so have a pretty good understand of most of the basics and mid area of computers. The high end stuff I leave to the big boys who get paid the big bucks (most of the time highly overpaid). The new forums are pretty much the same as my own forum on my website, so being the Administrator for that, I already had an understanding of the way things worked ( not totally but reasonalby enough).
You know I am only too glad to help anyone, that is how we all learn and share, the essence of this website as a community.
Hope you have agreat weekend, which I believe is Super Bowl Weekend.
