    114 portraits in 1.5 hours

I had my annual too many heads in not enough time to shoot this afternoon. We had 20 minutes to set and dial in the scheme, before the kids lined up in tuexes with their instruments. All work is being used for the Holiday Concert program. I'm posting color, but all repro will be black and white. Below is a shot of the piano and music history teacher. Nikon D200, Tokina 100 mm/2.8, Key light in a 48" Octobox, fill was 42"white umbrella and a small strobe on a boom in a small softbox for the hair and shoulder lite. ISO 100, 1/125 at f/10.

That setup gives a strange looking highlight in the eye.
    Everything else looks good though.

Thanks Paul, the catchlight can be a bit disconcerting, I was actually feathering the light a bit, not quite direct on the 45, more pointed across the front a little, with the fill at camera position and eye level to handle any real hard shadows. The fill was set at f5.6.

I'm thinking that if they all came out as well as this one you had a very productive hour and a half. I really need to learn more about studio lighting. Maybe I'll make that my New Years resolution.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??
