    1/8000th of a Second

Put my new Nikon's faster shutter speed to the test while flying in a small plane. Here's what it did to the propeller. Not bad grain for 3200 ISO, either.

    OH, NO! The engine stopped!

Whether they can be stopped with fast shutter would depend on the rpms.

A little soft but so what?

Nice capture. So did you use 1/8000th because you could?

    Which camera did you get?

Yeah, just chose 1/8000th of a sec because it was there, and there was something in front of me that I could try freezing. It's a Nikon D700.
