    Just got back from Romania

No not me, her. But I needed something to grab attention.

Anyway she just got back with red hair so I decided to play around in the studio and grab a few shots. One light, no makeup.

Just back from Korea, and now Romania? Alright, alright - you got me! I like the expression in the third shot best, well done. I like the idea with the first shot but it seems like the lighting just isn't quite there. Being a novice at this end of it I can't really tell you why, but the light on the window seems a little harsh and the brick on the background by her face is a little bright.

Maybe it's just me. Not sure if you're looking for a critique anyway...

That was exactly what I was looking for. Yeah see what you mean about the wall. I think I had the barndoors closed too tight and it pointed just forward. If you notice, the background goes to black too quickly.

You don't like the hard light eh? I wanted something that was a bit harder. Trying to give it an edgier look. This session was really unplanned, will have to do better next time.

What makes your head so RED???

    Good stuff, Dennis...

To me, hair that color cries out for equally dramatic makeup, but she certainly has an attractive and interesting face without it.

Why do I instantly picture Irakly photographing this woman in bizzare and provocative ways? She just seems like his type, I guess...

I like all three shots. Different vibe in each...

    I likes 'em

I like your hard lighting, it's different. A little more difficult to pull off with portraiture sometimes but I think her face holds up to it.

I love how impromptu it was but she still seems relaxed.

I would love to see the green of her eyes pulled out in future photographic endeavors. I think she has wonderful eyes and certainly there's a way to emphasize them with clothing, backdrops, etc.

    Good work!

    All three

Have a neat flava ;) to them I especially like the casualness and comfort level of all three and the sweatshirt to support it---Life is Good...

I agree with making her eyes pop a bit more.... I also appreciate the fact with that haircolor (fabulous BTW) most people would try to be really over the top with it...but even playing it up with lighting it makes the hair and her seem "normal" (if you get what I mean) she's edgy and funky but not freaky...Nice work
