AsylumSteve, you ever thought about offering a fashion photography classes for us amateur wannabes? Would love to take a one full day class on the highlights of fashion photo, from a working pro like yourself.

    Who knows?

    Steve,

The thought of doing live workshops has crossed my mind. Maybe somewhere down the road.

In the meantime, I'm really going to try to get some basic information about studio lighting and shooting up on my web site soon.

You know, I have a good friend in Cookeville. Maybe I'll even be up your way sometime...

    Im in Central Florida often

Im originally from Orlando, moved to Nashville only 3 yrs ago, down in Otown often to visit my brother, so if you ever decide to do a workshop let us know, it would give me an excuse to visit family there. Im considering taking a class from Tim Kelly down in Orlando also. Im a big fan of Tim Kelly's (timkellyportraits.com) ability to use light, but I like the edgy/artsy side of fashion photo,,,the models arent bad on the eyes either.

    Lightbulb Let's do it!!!

Steve, if you don't want to do it alone, let's do it together. I started giving master-classes and seminars last year, and feedback has been more than favorable. I actually wrote to you about my planning on giving a seminar in Werst Palm Beach, but you acted as a communist spy and kept silent.

Well, look what the BABUSHKA dragged in...

    Irakly,

What's up? How's the book doing?

I don't remember you mentioning anything about South Florida to me. I didn't even know you were giving seminars. Honestly, comrade, I'd never ignore something like that...

BTW, capitalist spies need to keep silent too, you know... ;)

I got the one you just sent, but not the one from a few days ago. Perhaps Homeland Security is keeping an eye on you...

    count me in

If you decide to run a class, put me on the list. I just got rid of my seniors today and only have two more real weeks of school left to teach before the summer vacation. Orlando for a day or two is no problem. Any of you guys coming down to MIA for the summer, let me know. I could always use golf or fishing partners in between getting my rugrats to camp, etc.

    Nothing to report yet...

    Michael,

It looks like Irakly and I may end up putting something together, but if so it will most likely be late summer in Orlando.

Don't worry, if it comes together we'll make sure all the folks here know about it...

    Smile Meanwhile...

I am holding a two-day workshop in San Francisco on 12-13th of June.
For those who are interested, here is a link

I am thinking, it is going to be a blast. Although, I have to warn you that there will be a bunch of former commies who speak English with a terrible accent
