Youth Football

After taking June/July off to coach baseball and then waiting most of August for the 'fall' seasons to start, I've shot a volleyball jamboree, and some youth football games.. below are some from 5th/6th grade first then 3rd/4th grade from tonight. The 5th/6th grade ones are shot mostly with a harsh sun at me, the 3rd/4th this week the sun at my back.


1. A little soft, but when they throw the football this age it's a bit of a surprise

6. The background's a bit busy, but this is the brother of a local star who graduated last year to red shirt a D2 school this upcoming season..you can already tell he's gonna have 'it' too.

The little guys are great to shoot. I hope to get in a few games in this fall. Nice job on all of these. I'm off to our first high school regular season game tonight, hope to have a few from that to share.

Still have another week until the 'Friday night lights' high school season starts here.. it's soccer (girls) and volleyball today then soccer (boys) and the community college football opener tomorrow. Missed a soccer match yesterday to shoot the kids playing football, so shooting soccer tomorrow before a couple hour drive to football.

I like watching kids play football. Like the shots. Hopefully I can take shots like this too.
