    Warp Speed

Sorry, last one from the bike series. I am new at photography, especially the complexity of capturing speed. Just wondering if these different perspectives have a place.

This one's very cool. I like the fact that some of the racers are in focus, but some are blurred. very nice. Plus, the fact that you shot wider and have more of the scenery (even though it may be a city) makes it look much nicer.

    Re: Warp Speed

This is exactly the kind of imagery I mentioned in the other bike shot! I like how this one works. The cyclists coming through the turn provide some tension and depth. The blur of the foreground cyclists adds a transistional element from those setting up to corner.

This shows not only action but establishes a perspective for the viewer. The verticals of course provide strength to the photograph and the sky is a real plus.

Not real keen on the beveled edges, but I can live with them.

    Nice work.

Ok, now I feel better. I am really glad this second shot had more postive comments. I really appreciate the feedback. Thanks very much.

    Me too
I think this is the best so far.

Plus I also don't like the bevelled edges.
Reminds me of my mother-in-law's tasteless glass photo holders.

Ok, I'll knock off the edges.

IMO, this is one of the best cycling pics I've seen. It really catches my eye. I love how the guys in the front are smears of color and as you go back the cyclers come more and more in focus. Quite amazing to me.
    It's not blurry. It's bokeh.

    Re: Warp Speed

I have to agree withthe other posters this is a winner. Nice sense of speed while giving a good overall view of the action and the venue. Nice work.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??
