    Under the Harvest Moon

Not your usual football picture but one I liked and am going to post over on viewfinder. Post game prayer under the harvest moon.

    Re: Under the Harvest Moon

This reminds me of an incident a week and a half ago in NJ. A high school coach resigned after being told he could not take part in players prayer.... due to seperation of church and state/school...

    Nice catch though... great job!
I can't for the life of me get a good shot of the darn moon....too bright or clouds...

Moons are tough. I didn't expose or focus for it here and at f2.8 it is blown and out of focus but I still like the shot.

Great work, OT. The image seems to be cropped a little closely on the right side, but it is very powerful.

Thanks for the very kind words.

I'm not where I can check it right now, but I'm pretty sure I didn't change from my game setting of 1/250th.

That shot is great. I mean, really great.

The only way I could figure to get the moon would be to do two shots and stitch them.

I am totally serious when I say this....

OT, that is one of the most beautiful pictures I've ever seen. Wow, there's nothing else I can say.
    It's not blurry. It's bokeh.

Thanks JETA you are more than kind with your comments. After seeing what I got without really concentrating on the image I am very sorry that I didn't see the full potential at first. I was already packing up and just used my game settings for the most part. My main reason for taking the pictures was to show another photographer (a mother and fellow photographer) how to get lower and avoid some distracting porta potties in the background. I have thought of several things I should have done since to make it a better image. Oh well live and learn. This is not a scene that will repeat itself often.
