Triathlon Pics

Well, still new to photography, but decided to try and combine two of my favorite things... I am pretty invested in, and interested in Triathlons, and I try to compete as often as I can........BUT, my wife was racing today, and I had to tend to our two year old daughter, so I thought I would snap some pics with the A100 and the sigma 70-300 f1:4-5.6

sweet! one of my favorite things as well!

They look a bit dark though, just because of the placement of the athletes in relation to the background. Always watch for those bright backgrounds against the dark athletes, it takes the attention away from the subject.

I shoot a few tri's for my cousin every year. He does the half ironman in Racine every year. Unfortunately, the bike route this year took them down a rough stretch of road and his seat broke, so he was a DNF. The lake was fogged over this year and the start was delayed an hour. I got some cool shots of the before race activities of the athletes. Had almost a "titanic" feel to it.

I did manage to get some shots of Luke Bell before the race and David Thompson (MN native). David was the winner of the race the past 2 years. He and his family stayed at my cousins home the night before the race.

I leave friday for Benton Harbor Michigan with my cousin to photo his race there this weekend.

When I get around to some edits I will post some from the Racine race.
