I just want to thank all the people that helped me this year to improve on my photography. I have come along way in a year but also have along way to go! I just finished taking pictures for our high school boys and girls teams. Our girls went to state (runner ups!!) and I now appreciate the stress photographers go through. My settings probably weren't close to being correct and I was so nervous thinking about how our whole school/parents were counting on me to take "perfect" pictures. The best thing going for me is the parents and students think my pictures are good I think mainly because their pictures don't turn out in some of the gyms.
One thing I learned is you really have to be prepared to get the picture. At the end of the game I didn't have the right lens in and missed moments you cannot get back. Then on top of it there was some jerk "security guy" that was stressing me out. He kept yelling at me to move and even now I have no clue why. I thought he and another photographer were going to have a fist fight. It was a little tense. My hat goes out to all of you that do this for a living...as I tell people I would starve if I did this for a living.
One question I would like advice on is what lens is good to take a team picture? They are so wide apart and I feel like I have to go into a different county to take their picture. I have a Nikon d50.
Again thanks again, I just want you all to know I appreciate your help and this website:thumbsup:
