    Texas State Football

I haven't posted on this particular board for a while, but I thought I'd share a series of three shots I took Saturday night. I was in the right spot at the right time for these, but unfortunately I missed the next shot which would've proven the ref to be right or wrong about the controversial touchdown he called on this play.

Very nicely done. Great to be able to photograph top flight athletes in action. I envy your side line access to college football.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Re: Texas State Football

Thanks! Texas State is a member of the Southland Conference which is Division 1-AA. Not quite the "big boys" but close. They do on occasion play the big boys, such as SMU last year and TCU a week from Saturday, but they really don't expect to win those games.

I will be on the sidelines for the TCU game, just as I was for the SMU game, and you can really tell the difference when it comes to how well lit those stadiums are as opposed to high school and even Texas States' own stadium. Although Texas State has added more lighting this year and I could really tell the difference from what it used to be.

As for having access to the sidelines, my son-in-law publishes a Texas State sports related magazine and he was the one that got me to start shooting football games. Prior to that I mostly did nature and wildlife. He gets field passes for both of us every year and I let him use any of my images free of charge. I even pay my own way there so it's a pretty good deal for him and I get access to the sidelines of college games.
