    Sprint car action

Here are a few of the shots from this past Saturday. The customers at our photo booth seem to be very pleased with the photos I've been getting, but I'm still not entirely satisfied, and I doubt I ever will be, as I'm always trying to figure out how to improve what I'm doing, even if I do get extremely frustrated trying to do so.

In any case, here are some of the sprint car shots I liked from Saturday; I'll likely post some shots of the modifieds in a little while.

Some nice shots here. I love seeing that dirt fly off the rear tires, but a little more lead room in front wouldn't hurt either. Good job.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Do you know how hard that is?
I think I'll post a le Mans bloopers thread and give some examples of how not to do it

Seriously, it's something to consider when you're in the groove and the panning is going well.
But if your timing is off, or the cars brake earlier or later than you expect for the corner, then getting the car in at all with a tight zoom can be a challenge !

Actually, on at least a couple of those, the 4x6 that will go into the book for the photo booth does have a bit more lead room; I cropped a few of them just to eliminate some empty bottom track and when I did that I also cropped out some of the lead space. I'll keep that in mind when I'm cropping as I can see how that gives a 'chopped' look and not a lot of perspective.
